Democrats will announce their political attitudes related coalitions in presidential elections on July 9, on Tuesday (20/05) afternoon, although a number of the party's politicians have expressed a desire to form a coalition with Gerindra.
"The attitude of the Democratic Party related to the final election is currently being discussed in the board meeting. Results will be announced on Tuesday afternoon," said the politician and member of the House Democrats, Achsanul Qosasi, told the BBC's Indonesian, Heyder Affan, Tuesday (20/05) afternoon.
According Achsanul, as much as 56% of the Democratic Party leaders and cadres in rapimnas last week wanted to be neutral in the presidential election.
"As for the support of a coalition with Gerindra approximately 24%, while support Jokowi 0%," he said.
Achsanul itself wants the Democratic Party to join the coalition of parties that support the candidacy of Prabowo pair-Hatta Radjasa....BBC
