One of the largest colleges in the UK , Birmingham Metropolitan College repeal ban on veils for Muslim women after thousands of people signed a petition reject the policy .
In a statement on the Facebook social networking account , the college said that individuals should wear clothing that reflects their cultural values .
The College is located in the city of Birmingham , central England . In this city , quite a large Muslim population . Previously the college issued a policy that prohibits the use of veils , hats , hooded coat that can cover the face .
Ban on the veil that has the support of Prime Minister David Cameron . Cameron's spokesman said the prime minister considers education institutions should establish and enforce their own school uniform policy .
But about 9,000 people signed a petition in the Black Students Campaign , coordinated by the National Union of Students ( NUS ) to oppose the policy . While hundreds of students staged a protest yesterday against the plan .
" This ban is a violation of all the rights to freedom of religion and cultural expression and a violation of a woman's right to choose , " said a pengurusa NUS black students , Aaron Kiely .
