General Elections Commission ( KPU ) asserts , the obligation to report the campaign funds to political parties only accentuated . Therefore , based on Law no. 8 in 2012 , is a political party participating in the election , not the candidates .
KPU commissioner Sigit Pamungkas said , although candidates are not given an obligation to report on the use of campaign funds , but actually the process also involves the financing of political parties candidates .
" So because of that the path of the Commission to break through the impasse is to ask the candidate that the campaign finance reporting integrated with kmpanye funding of political parties , " said Sigit told reporters at the Election Commission office , Jakarta , Monday ( 9/12 ) .
Sigit further explained , the Commission deliberately made a breakthrough by engaging candidates to report the use of campaign funds for the purpose of upholding the principle of transparency and openness .
" So the first reporting period kmpanye fund on December 27, one day , instead of merely reporting kampnye funding of political parties , but also involves didalamya campaign funds of candidates , " said Sigit .
As is known , based on Law no. 8 in 2013 and No. PKPU . 17 on guidelines for campaign funds , political parties are given a deadline for reporting the use of campaign funds in the form of account on 27th Dec. .
