European stock markets closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 index in London ended the day up 0.11 percent to 6559.48 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.25 percent to 9195.17 points and in Paris the CAC 40 increased 0.11 per cent to 4134.1 points, according to AFP.
