Global Cancer Reaches 14 million
The number of people diagnosed with cancer worldwide increased to over 14 million , according to the World Health Organisation .
Data for 2012 shows in the past four years since 2008 , cancer patients increases by almost 13 million .

During this period the number of patients who die of cancer are also good from 7.6 million to 8.2 million .
Rising cancer is caused by changes in lifestyle of people in developing countries .
Smoking rates rose as well with people who are overweight .
Of the 14 million cancer survivors worldwide , 1.8 million of them ( or about 13 % ) is a lung cancer that is usually caused by smoking .
WHO also announced a sharp rise in breast cancer patients , which is now known as the type of cancer most common among women in 140 countries .
" Breast cancer is also a major cause of cancer deaths in developing countries , " said Dr. David Forman , WHO officials are active in international institutions for cancer .
" There are two reasons , the first and second lifestyle changes have not been fully implemented technological advances to treat cancer in these countries , " he said .
WHO estimates the number of cancer patients will increase to 19 million people by 2025 . ( BBC )
