Tax Import Up From 2.5% to 7.5%

Chatib Basri Finance Minister announced the second phase of the economic policy package, including a set of four policy packages.

"In this policy the government will impose income tax imports from 2.5% to 7.5%, in order to more selectively imported goods and to easily increase exports," said Finance Minister Chatib Basri in Jakarta, Monday (9/12).

Regulation of the Minister of Finance of policy issues tersbut levy an income tax adjustment of tariffs on the import of certain goods 22 from 2.5% to 7.5%.

According to Deputy Finance Minister Bambang there are 870 kinds of imported goods are subject to import tarifnPPh 22 higher than the 2.5% to 7.5% as Laptops, Mobile, motor vehicle (except for vehicle hybrid / electric and more than ten passenger vehicles, gas, clothing, footwear, and jewelry.

According to the Minister of Industry, MS Hidayat, there are about 150 exporters who will have the ease of export licensing and regulation by the importer will be selected and for export can be further improved.
