Thailand Election held February 2nd chances


Thailand is likely to hold a general election on February 2, 2014, General Election Commission official said on Monday, after Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra dissolved parliament following a wave of anti-government protests in Bangkok.

"It is very unlikely that the election will take place on February 2, within 60 days," said Sodri Sattayatham told Reuters.

More than 150,000 demonstrators walked through the streets of Bangkok on Monday. Mass demonstrations, tried to overthrow Prime Minister Yingluck and establish a body elected to run the country.
