The rupiah traded among banks in Jakarta on Friday afternoon moving down slightly by five points to Rp11.967 compared to the previous position Thursday ( 5/12 ) Rp11.962 per U.S. dollar .
Futures analyst Platon Niaga , Lukman Leong on Friday said that the exchange rate is likely to weaken , if not to survive in the positive area in the next year is estimated to be in the correction .
"If dollars was not immediately rose in the month , then the next year to maintain the stability of the domestic exchange rate will be more severe because isutappering can get stronger, " he said .
According to him , the level at Rp12.000 rupiah per U.S. dollar may still be accepted by the market , but if it is through the level of concern can trigger speculators and panic that led to the crisis of confidence in the domestic currency .
