Retreat from the Minister , Hatta Rajasa forward as a vice presidential candidate Prabowo

Hatta Rajasa on Tuesday ( 13/5 ) resigned as the Coordinating Minister for the Economy forward as a candidate for vice president of Prabowo .

Hatta Rajasa Tuesday ( 13/5 ) to decide , resigned his position as Minister Coordinator ( Coordinating Minister ) for Economic Affairs at the United Indonesia Cabinet ( KIB ) II . After meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the presidential office on Tuesday ( 13/5 ) , Hatta explained that his resignation , linked to his desire to be a candidate for vice president ahead of presidential candidate Prabowo .

 

" As a minister who is still active I would have to report to the President . And also in accordance with the applicable legislation , the minister of state officials to participate in the election of President and Vice President , provisions should be offered to resign . And get permission from the President , " said Hatta .

 

Hatta added that the President ordered that the competition arena of presidential elections in the near future should remain peaceful as part of the democratic process .

At Hatta pack is the fact that the minister is still active in government which he led . So it's not ethical for me to invite active minister without coming to ask permission . "

 

Prabowo expressed appreciation for the permission and approval granted to the president himself to move forward together Hatta Rajasa in the presidential election next July . Prabowo also expressed appreciation to the achievements of the present government - impressive results achieved .

 

" My appreciation as leaders of political parties outside the government who are now top of the achievements of this administration .
