Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has thrown incorporated into the wanted list of international , said Acting Attorney General By Makhnytsky on Wednesday ( 26/2 ) .
" Yanukovych declared a wanted man internationally , we formed a special group to enter this case , " said Makhnytsky at a news conference .
Also has launched an international search to find a former interior minister Vitaly Zakharchenko , said Makhnytsky told reporters .
Deputy Prosecutor General Mykola Golomsha in the country , who also attended the news conference , said Yanukovych and Zakharchenko may still be in Ukraine , Xinhua reported on Thursday morning .
On Wednesday morning, the Prosecutor General's Office said Yanukovych , Zakharchenko and their close allies are being examined for suspected intentional murder during anti - government rallies , killing more than 80 people .
In Ukraine , people who commit a deliberate murder could face a prison sentence up to 15 years or for life .
On Saturday ( 22/2 ) , the Ukrainian Parliament adopted a resolution to dismiss Yanukovych from office and set an early election on May 25.
Yanukovych whereabouts still unknown after he reportedly left the Ukrainian capital , Kiev , on Friday night to participate in a regional meeting in the city of Kharkov , Ukraine East .
According to local media reports , the ousted president may be settled in the Crimean Peninsula in Southern Ukraine or have left the country .
