Clint Dempsey scored the fastest U.S. aid subjected Ghana
Clint Dempsey scored the fastest by an American player in World Cup history, and help the 2-1 victory over Ghana in Group G at Christmas.
DaMarcus Beasley, the first American player who fell in four World Cups, directing the ball to Jermaine Jones direct feed to Dempsey and scored within 31 seconds of when the game starts.
The U.S. captain dribbled past Sulley Muntari and John Boye before netting with his left foot in the penalty box.
Andre Ayew had leveled in the 81st minute but John Brooks ensure American victory four minutes later.
Dempsey became the first American player to score in three World Cups including against England four years ago and also against Ghana in 2006.
Ghana before ejecting the U.S. national team in the previous two World Cups, in 2006 and with the extra time in the round of 16 four years ago in South Africa.
