3.7 million citizens of South Sudan food crisis

The United Nations estimates that 3.7 million people are threatened with starvation in the South been returned as a result of civil conflict simmering .

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in South Sudan , Toby Lanzer told the BBC that aid worth $ 1.3 million ( 15 billion ) is needed to overcome this crisis .

The new violence erupted in South Sudan last December 15 due to conflicts between armed groups .

Click thousands of people have already died as a result of this chaos , and approximately 860,000 local residents to flee .

Lanzer said the joint force was also devastated the local economy .
" Because the market is disrupted , people who are used to living under very difficult conditions , ( now ) they could no longer move as freely as before , " he added .
