Tokyo Stocks Follow Wall Street , JCI Up 22.02 points to 4,725



Composite Stock Price Index ( CSPI ) in Indonesia Stock Exchange ( IDX ) Thursday opened up 22.02 points, or 0.47 percent, to 4725.10 .

While the index of 45 leading shares ( LQ45 ) rose 5.05 points ( 0.64 percent ) to a level of 793.08 .

Tokyo stocks opened higher on Wednesday , tracking gains on Wall Street driven by the biotechnology sector stocks and other technologies .

At 0915 local time , the Nikkei - 225 index increased 132.25 points, or 0.92 percent, to 14555.44 from Tuesday ( 25/3 ) .

The Topix index of all issues on the main board of the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 11.51 points, or 0.99 percent, to 1175.21 , according to Xinhua news agency reported .

On Wall Street on Tuesday , the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 91.19 points ( 0.56 percent) to 16,367.88 in closing trade .

The broad-based S & P 500 rose 8.18 points ( 0.44 percent ) to finish at 1865.62 while the tech -heavy Nasdaq composite index increased 7.88 points ( 0.19 percent) to 4234.27 .
