200 Myanmar political prisoners to be released
The government of Myanmar continues to carefully examine the remaining political prisoners behind bars and 200 more prisoners expected to be released by the end of this year , state media said on Sunday .
Committee for Political Prisoners Remaining Research reveals government planned measures at the Peace Center in Yangon Myanmar , as reported Xinhua .
Myanmar frees 69 political prisoners last remaining from prison on November 15 across the country under the command of President U Thein Sein's amnesty as part of the steps in realizing the promise of the government to release all political prisoners at the end of the year .
The number of prisoners released has added up to be 29 820 people since the new civilian government took office on March 30, 2011 .
In line with the reform process , the government in May this year to reform the Committee for Research Remaining Prisoners of Conscience with 19 members and U Soe Thane , Minister in the Office of the President , as chairman.
