A private helicopter carrying aid for typhoon victims in the Philippines Haiyan fell on Manila Bay on Sunday afternoon , local media reported .
The helicopter crashed about 18 nautical miles west - marine North Harbor in Manila Bay near Bulacan , DZBB radio said , citing the Philippine Coast Guard .
The helicopter pilot and a passenger had been rescued by the U.S. Marines and was not injured , said Xinhua - Reuters monitored in Jakarta , on Sunday night .
