Air strike kills 40 in Syria
The series of air strikes around the northern Syrian city of Aleppo killed at least 40 people on Saturday, most of them citizens, observers said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Monitoring groups said opposition supporters, at least six attacks occurred on the outskirts of Aleppo and nearby towns. Dozens of people were injured, he said.
"Some of the attacks in the Bab al-Tareeq apparently targeting the rebel headquarters, but on the contrary, a number of rockets landed on a busy road and cause a big fall victim among the people," said Rami Abdelrahman, head of the observatory, by telephone, Reuters.
