President asks MP3EI Project Run On Time


 President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on the ministers and officials concerned ensure the implementation of the master plan project acceleration and expansion of Indonesia's economic development ( MP3EI ) running on time as planned .

" I ask the Minister for Economic Affairs and the relevant minister to a success and the acceleration of economic development in accordance MP3EI , make sure all the ground breaking project 2014 could be implemented on time , " the president said while inaugurating an integrated steel plant in Cilegon Krakatau Posco on Monday .

The Head of State also said MP3EI projects that have been running for two years must be completed on time as planned .

Krakatau Posco integrated steel plant is one of the projects in MP3EI .

Other projects include infrastructure development such as the development of the port of Tanjung Priok , Jakarta's main airport development , as well as construction and development of mass transportation .

" We want a strong and sustainable economic growth through MP3EI until 2025 . Focused Java development services and industrial sectors . Development is part of the steel mill industry cluster development in Java , " the president said .

Banten provincial government asked the central government assistance to help repair the access road to the port in Banten that export and distribution process no longer relies on the Port of Tanjung Priok .

" Taking into account the cost of logistics , the business wants export import activities through the port in Banten , the central government would be supporting infrastructure to the port in Banten , " said Deputy Governor of Banten Rano Karno .

" Need to increase the port and industrial areas to encourage increased trade traffic , " he said .

He also said that until now the industry is the largest contributor to the Gross Regional Domestic Product ( GDP ) . According to him , 45.96 percent of GDP in 2012 came from the manufacturing industry .

" Industry in Punjab now consists of 1,695 units with labor peyerapan 474 521 people spread among others in Serang , Tangerang , and South Tangerang Cilegon , " he said .
