Iran nuclear talks was held February 18 in New York
- Iran talks with six world powers regarding the long -term agreement for Iran to rein in its nuclear program will be held in New York on February 18 , the Russian diplomat said on Friday as quoted by Interfax news agency .
Deal toward controlling nuclear program was made in return for the lifting of some sanctions on Iran .
These six world powers , including the United States and Russia , have led to the ongoing rounds of negotiations aimed at persuading Iran to curb its nuclear program section .
Western countries worried about Iran's nuclear program was developed to build atomic weapons capability .
Such concerns have been ignored by Iran .
" Agreement has been reached that the next meeting at the level of political directors will take place on February 18 in New York , " Interfax said , citing Mikhail Ulyanov .
Ulyanov was head of the department of security and disarmament at the Russian Foreign Ministry .
Provisional agreement reached on 24 November between Iran and the five permanent members of the Security Council of the United Nations - plus Germany - previously spent two months to complete the three rounds of negotiations in Geneva at the end of last year .
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said last week that Iran was determined to negotiate a comprehensive agreement in order to establish the battered economy , the company invites the West to take advantage of current opportunities .
Under the temporary agreement , which is valid for six months and may be updated , Iran agreed to suspend its nuclear activities are most sensitive in return for a reduction in the limited sanctions by the West , according to Reuters .
