The Thai government will continue to carry out elections
The Thai government wants elections remain to be done this weekend , though still disputed , the deputy prime minister said on Tuesday .
Meanwhile , the opposition threatened to intervene in the elections in order to stop the ruling party get into power again .
Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will meet with the selection committee who want to postpone the elections after the street violence that left 10 people dead and hundreds wounded .
" We urge that the elections should be held February 2 because most of the people want it , " said Deputy Prime Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul , who also served as foreign minister , told reporters , AFP reported .
