Police hunting the kidnappers Ukrainian anti - government activists
Ukrainian police chasing suspects kidnapping and torture of anti - government activists Dmitry Bulatov last week , a police spokesman said on Friday ( 31/1 ) .
Dmitry Bulatov , 35, a rally organizer of anti - government , disappeared on January 22 in the capital of Ukraine , Kiev .
Proponents say the police , Bulatov pushed into a car , tortured and then dumped in a forest . Bulatov appeared on Thursday night in a village outside Kiev injured condition .
" I am crucified , nailed . They cut off the ears and face . And I had wounds all over the body . , But , thankfully , I am still alive , " he told reporters , as reported by RIA Novosti .
Bulatov said , the attacker has a Russian accent .
His colleague , Sergei Poyarkov , told Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty that Bulatov was tortured in an attempt to obtain information about the funds for the protest movement .
Udar opposition party leader Vitali Klitschko calls Bulatov attacks against acts of intimidation against activists .
Another prominent opposition figure , Igor Lutsenko , also kidnapped and beaten last week . His supporters claimed the attacks against him have been carried out by the same group who want information about funding the opposition , RIA Novosti reported .
