Government chargeback diyat Satinah
The government refused to pay the blood money shortage ( diyat ) to the affected families employer Satinah bint Jumadi facing the death penalty in Saudi Arabia .
Satinah pleaded guilty to killing her employer , Nura Al Gharib , Saudi Arabia on the court in 2010 and sentenced to beheading .
Under Saudi law , the execution could have been avoided if the offender to pay compensation to the families of the victims called diyat .
Diyat demanded by the family of Al Gharib was originally for 15 million riyals but then dropped to 7 million riyals , or about USD 21 billion .
