VW dropped in Europe but increasingly in demand in China


Volkswagen Group said that their car sales rose 2 percent in China , but going down in Europe and the United States .

Delivery of the VW brand vehicles increased to 511 400 from 501 400 in the previous year , the company said in a statement reported by the autonews today .

" Volkswagen to make satisfactory progress in October despite the economic uncertainty in some regions , " said Volkswagen sales chief Christian Klingler .

Increase in the previous month this October following an increase of 7 percent in September after sales fell respectively by 1 percent and 0.5 percent in August and July , mostly due to the decline of the European market .

Volkswagen sales up to October in Europe fell 5 percent to 1.37 million .

In Germany , deliveries fell by 7 per cent to 464,100 , while demand in the U.S. fell 4 percent to 343,000 in the same period .

In China , sales of Volkswagen brand 's largest single market rose 18 percent to 2.02 million .

Shipping globally during the last ten months rose 3 percent to 4.88 million units .
