Glasses Seattle teenager rescued from fire

A teenage girl avoided serious injury because his glasses deflect the bullets fired during the action shoot - run around his home in Seattle , United States .

16 -year -old daughter was asleep on the couch in the family room residence on Saturday ( 21/12 ) at around 21.40 local time , when some bullets were fired from a dark -colored sedan that crosses his home , said Seattle police spokesman Detective Mark Jamieson on Sunday ( 22/12 ) .

Some of the bullets penetrated the walls of the house and the front window of the house . One bullet girls mashing glasses , said Jamieson .

He suffered only minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital , he said as quoted by Reuters news agency .

" He was very, very lucky , " said Jamieson .

Some people were in the house when the shooting occurred , he said, but no one was reported injured .

Police believe the house was being targeted in what looks like a gang -related shooting , but the girls were not the victims that were targeted .

No one has yet been arrested in connection with the shooting and police gang unit was handling the investigation , said Jamieson .

Jamieson said police do not know how many people were involved in the shooting.
