The rupiah traded among banks in Jakarta on Monday morning has not engaged in value or remained at Rp12.180 per U.S. dollar .
" The rupiah remained stable at the beginning of this week amid a lack of new positive sentiment , " said the Head of Research of the Trust Securities , Reza Priyambada on Monday .
According to him , Indonesia's trade balance surplus amounted to 776.8 million U.S. dollars the period November 2013 to give enough positive sentiment for the domestic currency . But on the other hand , concerns the implementation will start tappering off the Fed overshadowing the domestic money market .
He added that U.S. consumer confidence rose to make the money market chasing dollars pushing the U.S. currency 's rise .
Head of Research Investindo Futures Monex , Ariston Tjendra add dollars to normal fluctuations although overshadowed by external negative sentiment as concerns over the outlook for the outbreak of the Chinese economy .
" Concerns that can be a negative sentiment . Indonesia China is a trading partner so that the signal of slowing economic activity that could adversely affect the financial markets , " he said .
Ariston projecting that the movement of the rupiah currency on the week in the range Rp12.030 - Rp12.270 per U.S. dollar .
