 PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia ( Persero ) Tbk insure almost a million micro- entrepreneurs or debtor in order to maintain the quality of micro borrowers .

" This insurance is insurance that is offered to us , namely the debtor microborrowers Kupedes , " said BRI Corporate Secretary , Muhammad Ali , in his statement on Wednesday .

Ali said , at this time there have been as many as 792,510 borrowers who joined the micro- insurance AKK ( Personal Accident Insurance , Healthcare , and Death ) .

BRI subsidiary namely PT Asuransi Banyan Life , PT Asuransi BSAM and PT Chartis Insurance Indonesia to act as a consortium that provides insurance services .

Ali explained that the amount of the insurance premium rates are very affordable for microfinance borrowers are also Kupedes which amounted to 50,000 .

Ali added that the insurance scheme is very effective in maintaining the quality of microcredit BRI . Because, with this insurance cash flow micro- borrowers are not bothered anymore because the cost of health care business and his wife had borne the insurance company .

BRI own micro businesses continue to produce sustained growth momentum . BRI micro loans grew by 26.86 percent ( yoy ) , up from the third quarter last year , Rp101 , 1 trillion to Rp128 , 22 trillion .
