Demo Workers Not Affect Exports of Indonesia, India Top contributors

  Deputy Trade Minister Bayu Krisnamurthi optimistic Indonesian export products, such as textiles are still rising, although there is still a demo workers demanding increase in the minimum wage (UMR).

"The issue of Indonesian exports will decline by the end of 2013 due to the demo workers demanding wage hike, but I still remain optimistic that our exports increase," said Deputy Minister of Trade in Jakarta, Wednesday (6/11).

In September 2013 exports reached $ 14.8 billion, up 13.2%, consisting of oil and gas exports USD 2.5 billion (down 7.5%) and non-oil U.S. $ 12.3 billion (up 18.6%).

While total exports from January to September 2013 amounted to USD 134 billion, down 6.3%, but the total volume of exports and the volume of non-oil exports still grew by 19.2%.

Indian state supreme contributor to Indonesia's trade surplus reached $ 65 billion, both the United States totaled $ 4.6 billion, the Netherlands 2.3 billion.
