The death toll from sectarian clashes on Saturday ( 30/11 ) in Tripoli , Lebanon , rose to six .
The clash occurred in the area of Bab Et - Tebbaneh residents due to a shootout with gunmen from Jabal Mohsen neighborhoods .
" Six people were killed in clashes today and the death toll was expected to rise because some of the injured were in critical condition , " said a local security source told Xinhua .
Intense sniper fire still going on and the sound of rocket-propelled grenades could be heard throughout the city .
Tension is increasing in Tripoli ( Lebanese town named after the capital of Libya ) , from Thursday ( 28/11 ) , and sniper activity occurred again on Friday , when a resident of Jabal Mohsen , an Alawite neighborhood , was shot in the leg in the area of Al Al - Mankoubine - Beddawi .
Earlier, the Acting Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Miqati will not hesitate to affirm Lebanon in taking all necessary decisions in order to avoid a deterioration in security in Tripoli .
He said the security forces will deal firmly offenders .
" We have taken some security decisions that could assist the security forces in carrying out their duties in Tripoli , " Miqati said .
