Syrian President Bashar al - Assad to spread threats against the United States
Syrian President Bashar al - Assad said in an interview broadcast on CBS on Monday ( 09/09/2013 ) , spread threats against the United States if they still hold a military attack on his country .
" You will pay dearly if not done wisely . Would be no retaliation , " Assad said in a broadcast program CBS This Morning .
Assad said the U.S. attack will be directed to an area that is ready to explode so that the U.S. must be prepared to accept the risks .
Assad added that the risk of chemical attack carried out in case of foreign intervention rebels in Syria .
" You have to prepare for everything . Government is not the only player in the region . You have different parties , different factions , different ideologies . Everything you have today, " said Assad .
In a CBS interview called the first since U.S. President Barack Obama asked Congress for approval to attack Syria , President Assad again denied his reign masterminded last month's chemical weapons attack .
" How can you accuse if you do not have proof ? " Assad said in the interview that the English language very well .
" We do not like the American government , we do not like government social media . We are a government that believes only the evidence , " said Assad .
" However , for the region they say we use chemical weapons , that we have just recorded video , images , and accusations . We are not there , our troops , our police , and our institutions are not doing it , " Assad insisted .
On that occasion , the interviewer Charlie Rose - questions - asked retaliation touted Assad .
Rose asked whether Assad will use its chemical weapons in retaliation .
" It ( the use of chemical weapons ) greatly depends on the situation . If terrorists or other groups to use it , then it may just happen . I do not know , I am not a fortune teller , " said Assad .

Russia says it will urge Syria to hand over control of their chemical weapons to international arms to prevent the U.S. military attack .
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said , this proposal has been submitted to the Syrian counterpart , Walid al- Muallem , who was in Moscow .
However , Lavrov claimed not to know whether Syria would accept this proposal , hoping Damascus will give a positive answer .
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry hinted that military action against Syria could be undone if President Bashar al - Assad hand over chemical weapons in a week .
However , the U.S. State Department in Washington states that the Secretary of State Kerry rhetorical statement , not a real offer .
