Shi'ite and Sunni Yemen reached a ceasefire agreement
The fight between the presidential guard and the Houthi
group using heavy weapons.
The ceasefire is applied in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, several
hours after a fierce battle between the presidential guard and the Houthi rebel
group which is Shiite.
Interior Minister, Jalal al-Roweishan said the government
and the Houthi group has formed a committee to oversee the ceasefire.
Residents living near the presidential palace said the
shooting had abated.
At least three people were killed in the fiercest battles
in Sanaa since the Houthi movement control of the capital.
Under an agreement with President Mansour Hadi Abdrabbuh,
the Houthis will retreat from the capital so that the new unity government is
formed.

inhabited areas Sunnis and western regions of the country.
Monday, thick smoke billowing from the streets around the
presidential palace and military area around south of the capital, when the
presidential guard and Houthi fighters opened fire using machine guns,
rocket-propelled grenades, and a cannon.
Reports of the ceasefire has been heard since morning but
only noon battle began to subside.
