Before noon Thursday (22/1), and more than 14 hours after
approval was achieved, the rebels stationed outside the home of President Abed
Rabbo Mansour, which is located west of the capital.

Heavily armed Shiite rebels remain alert outside the home
and the presidential palace in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, although an agreement
had called for their retreat, to put an end to the violent standoff.
Prior to Thursday noon, and more than 14 hours after the
agreement had been reached, an Associated Press reporter saw the rebels
stationed outside the home of President Abed Rabbo Mansour, which is located
west of the capital.
Also there are no signs that the president's chief of
staff, who was kidnapped on Saturday, has been released - which is also part of
the deal.
Militia groups are placed outside the presidential
palace, which they assault, Wednesday, after fierce clashes took place. Houthi
rebels say they want to be better represented in government. An agreement
reached Wednesday (21/1), promised to respond to their demands. (VOA)
