Sayak ISIS group claimed responsibility in Egypt launched
a series of attacks on security personnel in the Sinai Peninsula, Thursday
(30/1), killing at least 26 people.
Group in the Sinai province claimed responsibility for
attacks that occurred only a few hours of each other.
According to officials, rebel weapons directed to a
military base and a hotel in the city of Al-Arish, where the police and
military officers lived.
Egypt's main government newspaper, al-Ahram, said the
office is located exactly opposite the military base was destroyed. No mention
if there are any victims who died in the building.
According to a statement from the president's office
Friday, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, has shortened the trip to
Ethiopia for an African Union summit, in order to return to Cairo in order to
deal with the latest developments in his country. (VOA)
