President appointed Vice Chairman of MPR Lukman Hakim Saifuddin as a Minister of Religion

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) appointed Vice Chairman of MPR Lukman Hakim Saifuddin as a Minister of Religion, replace Suryadharma Ali (SDA). Yudhoyono will inaugurate Lukman on Monday, June 9.

"The president told, some things need to be done to restore employee morale so that the functions in MORA can focus and run well," said Lukman quoted from the official website of the President of Indonesia, Thursday (06/05/2014).

According to Lukman, appointment as Minister of Religion is a belief that unusually heavy, "Because the burden and responsibility of existing and available time is not long, only four months," he said.

He promised to bring the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) in particular, and religious life generally be better.

"Hopefully, with the help of all parties, we can build or cultivate the image of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to be even better," he said.
