President Jokowi delay appointment Budi Gunawan
JAKARTA-President Joko Widodo ultimately delaying the
appointment of Commissioner General (Pol) Budi Gunawan as Chief of the
Indonesian National Police (Police Chief) awaiting the results of the legal
process of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is completed.
Before the House of Representatives (DPR) approve the
appointment of Budi Gunawan, Eight fractions agree, and only Democrats who
refused.
Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed
that it will detain suspects in the alleged corruption Komjen (Pol) Budi
Gunawan. However, Vice President Jusuf Kalla was doubtful if Budi will soon be
arrested.
"The period of detention," said JK in the
Office of the Vice President, Jalan Merdeka Utara, Thursday (15/1).
He compared the case that ensnare Budi Gunawan with Hadi
Purnomo case that until now the case has not been processed. "How long has

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)
confirmed that it will hold a suspect Komjen (Pol) Budi Gunawan. This detention

Samad stressed that the Commission will focus and
prioritize the handling of cases that led the former aide Megawati
