Debris MAS MH370 will never be found
Wreckage Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 will never be found , said Chairman of the Joint Team Coordination Center ( JACC ) Marshal (ret ) Angus Houston as quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald .
Houston MH370 search comparing with the loss of HMAS Sydney warship which took 60 years to find it again .
" We need to be persistent searching and we need to do for the future , " said the former commander of the Australian forces .
"Obviously , if we do not get the plane wreckage on the surface , we will most likely eventually have to consult with all the people involved in this matter to review what we do later " .
Hope to break the deadlock increased after the Australian Maritime Safety Authority revealed a new search area about 1,000 km northeast of the search area before following the analysis that MH370 fly faster than expected resulting in faster spent fuel to then fall faster than expected .
But Houston called the analysis described various circles " most credible " as " a very imprecise science " .
" We do not know at what altitude the plane was speeding . We just do not know the speed of the aircraft," he said .
He said the speed of the aircraft to fly at sea level is half of the speed when flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet .
Houston is the former Chief of Staff and former Royal Australian Air Force pilot who spent most of his career as a SAR helicopter pilot .
By not finding wreckage after three and a half weeks then search MH370 is the most challenging , he said .
He compared the MH370 search with search HMAS Sydney sank off the coast of Western Australia in World War II .
" Many eyewitnesses who saw the ship was lost in the horizon but need about 60 years for us to find HMAS Sydney until the bottom of the ocean , " he said .
