. IMF : Global economic recovery still weak
The head of the International Monetary Fund , IMF , Christine Lagarde , warned the global economic recovery is still too weak .
In a speech ahead of the IMF meetings in Washington , he said the world has risen from the worst financial crisis in almost 100 years and are in a critical crossroads .
According to the tension that comes from the conflict between Ukraine and Russia related Crimea is one of the barriers to the further recovery .
He also urged the governments of the world take a firm policy to overcome these obstacles .
" Unless states united together to take the right policy , we could face years of slow growth under sustained solid growth needed to create enough jobs and improve living standards in the future . "
The governments of the world , according to Lagarde , also need to encourage job creation and investment in public infrastructure , such as transport and communications in the developed countries and new economies .
However there are some positive notes in Lagarde 's speech , as reported by BBC economics correspondent Andrew Walker .
One is that the global economy is in a steady state since the financial crisis .
