Rini: SOE Could Land For Power

Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Enterprises Minister Rini M Soemarno said that the land owned by a number of State-Owned Enterprises can be used for the construction of 35,000 mega watt power plant.

"It is estimated that it takes thousands of hectares for development, and is expected to SOEs that have land in several locations such as PTPN, can be used for development," he said after attending the meetings held CMEA on Wednesday night.

Rini said that the need for extensive land is due not only to the development of "power plant" that power plants but also for transmission.

In addition to the construction of power plants, Minister Rini said that the coordination meeting also discussed about the refinery.
