World are commemorating 10 years of the tsunami
Tsunami warning was held to commemorate the victims of
Germany, Austria and Switzerland in Khao Lak, Thailand
10th anniversary ceremony was held in the Indonesian
tsunami and other countries to commemorate the victims of the Indian Ocean
tsunami.
In Aceh province, Indonesia tsunami affected -kawasan

More than 200,000 people were killed when an earthquake
and tsunami struck on December 26, 2004.

of events and religious rituals throughout the day on Friday (26/12).
In the fishing village of Ban Nam Khem, Phang Nga

from European countries.
In Sri Lanka, trains Ocean Queen Express-which became a

More than 1,700 people were killed in a train disaster in
the world's largest.
The tsunami also struck Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia,
Maldives and eastern African countries like Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania.
The strength of the earthquake that struck off the coast
of Indonesia -eartquick world since 1964- releasing giant waves across the Indian
