Ukrainian Peace Talks Fail
Talks between government negotiators Ukrainian and
pro-Russian separatists failed to produce a breakthrough to end a conflict that
has lasted eight months in Eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian officials and pro-Russian rebels will not be
met in Minsk, Belarus, for a new round of peace talks that had been scheduled
for Friday.
Officials Belarus, Friday (26/12), announced the failure
of the talks, but did not reveal the reason. It is unclear whether the talks
will be resumed at a later date.
Talks between government negotiators Ukrainian and
pro-Russian separatists failed to produce a breakthrough to end a conflict that
has lasted eight months in Eastern Ukraine.
The separatist leaders on Thursday, was quoted as saying,
the only result of that discussion is about 400 prisoners exchange deal.
Peace efforts in Ukraine also involve Russian officials
and the mediators of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe
