Strengthen fleet, the Indonesian Navy bring advanced ship from
France
MERDEKA.COM. Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) back to get a new
fleet, the ship Hydro Oceanography Bantu-1 (BHO-1). Although the use of the
Navy, but this ship will be more widely used as a tool for research.
This ship has just received the Navy of the shipyard OCEA
France. The handover is done symbolically by OCEA company leader and Chief of
Naval Staff (Kasal), Admiral Marsetio, at OCEA Les Sables d'Olonne, France.
Ship hull number 933 is made of aluminum and weighs 515
tons, has a dimension of 60.1 meters long and 11.3 meters wide. Ships that can
accommodate 40 sailors will sail to Indonesia in March 2015.
Shipbuilding is the fruit of the ship procurement
contracts implemented by the Ministry of Defence with the shipyard OCEA France,
in October 2013. Under the agreement, OCEA will make two ships with the same type
and capabilities.
BHO ship OCEA production is advanced survey vessel
capable of mapping the deep sea (deep water), because it is equipped with
hydro-oceanographic survey equipment to date. Ships BHO is kind MPRV (Multi
Purpose Research Vessel) to examine the geographical conditions Indonesian sea.
Not only advanced equipment, the ship is also equipped
with equipment AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) to get underwater imaging of
up to 1,000 meters. In addition, there is also a Remotely Operated Vehicle
(ROV), underwater robots are equipped with an underwater camera.
With these two devices, the visual information under the
sea conditions can tercitrakan well. Moreover, the ROV also able to take
underwater material that can be used for research purposes.
In performing this maneuver the vessel is equipped with
Dynamic Position, Auto Pilot 70 and the stability of the ship using the
Anti-Rolling Tank. The vessel is also equipped with a 20 mm caliber weapons
metraliur and 12.7 mm.
In a later operation, BHO ship is expected to further
support the role of Hydro-Oceanography Department of the Navy (Dishidros) in
particular, and the Navy in general in carrying out the survey and mapping
capabilities for military and civilian interests that can be used for defense
purposes and development of Indonesia.
Jokowi call buying submarines from South Korea's maritime
agenda

three new submarines from South Korea. Submarines ordered Indonesia is Chang
Bogo class of USD 250 million.
Jokowi say, these submarines there are made in the

South Korea and Indonesia manufacture.
