US: Ideology and ISIS funds must be destroyed
Kerry said the military operation alone is not enough to
beat ISIS.
United States Secretary of State John Kerry said all
members of the international coalition against a group calling itself the
Islamic State or ISIS agreed that the ideology of the group was to be
destroyed.
In the first high-level meetings of the international
coalition in Brussels, Kerry said the military offensive was not enough to
defeat the group.
He said it was important to destroy the ideology, funding
and recruitment.
"Daesh (Nation of Islam) is still committing crimes
harm but there is consensus that the momentum they did two and a half months
ago has stalled," said Kerry.
But to destroy the ISIS have to "defeat the
ideology, funding, recruitment and addressing the suffering they caused to the
people in the region".
When asked about reports that the camera captured Iranian
jets flying over Iraq, Kerry said, "When Iran faces (ISIS) in a certain
place ... certainly will have an impact and be a positive."
But he refused to comment on whether Iran attack has occurred.
He said depending Iran and Iraq to do so.
But he said Americans do not coordinate military
operations with Iran. (BBC)
