He said if Pyongyang proposed requirements are met, he
was even ready to hold a summit with South Korean President Guen-hye.
On Monday, South Korea asked for the resumption of talks
variety of issues, including reuniting families separated by the Korean War.
"Based on the mood and circumstances, there is no
reason not to do a high-level meeting," said President Kim.
But the BBC correspondent in Seoul, Kevin Kim reported is
still unclear how likely meeting between the two presidents of Korea because of
high tension between the two militaries in recent months.
On Monday (December 29) South Korean Unification Minister
Ryoo Kihl-jae said "South and North Korea should meet face to create a
peaceful unification plan".
North parties previously looked at Seoul unification plan
as an attempt to take over.
Ryoo hopes North Korea will give a "positive
response" to the proposal. (BBC)
