ISIS chemical weapons expert Abu Malik killed
ISIS reported using chlorine gas in a variety of attacks.
A chemical weapons expert group calling itself the
Islamic State or ISIS killed in coalition air strikes, said the US military.
Expertise Abu Malik, who then provide training in ISIS
making it the group has "the ability to seek the expertise of chemical weapons",
said a statement.
Malik is an engineer who served as an expert in chemical
weapons under former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, before joining al-Qaida in
Iraq and then ISIS.
Malik was killed in the attack near Mosul on January 24,
according to the US military.
US-led coalition has launched nearly 2,000 attacks on
ISIS.
Malik deaths expected "shake and screwed" ISIS
and weaken their ability to produce and use chemical weapons, the US military
said again.
Many reports that ISIS uses chlorine gas, but not
obtained evidence that indicates this group has been collecting containers of
chemical weapons significantly.
Vomiting and dizziness
Last year, a number of Iraqi police suffer from dizziness
and vomiting after clashing with ISIS forces in the north of Baghdad. Believed,
it is caused by chlorine gas.
Chlorine gas is classified as "material
strangler," which burns the lungs when inhaled in large quantities.
However, the danger level is still far behind the nerve gas.
ISIS control of large areas in Syria, in the area that
was once a center for the manufacture of chemical weapons, the latter has
destroyed the government based on an agreement with the UN, but still there are
chemicals that pass unsupervised.
The US and its allies have attacked a number of positions
ISIS in Iraq and Syria since last August, destroying military equipment and
killing a number of his troops.
The coalition military officials hope they can take back
the key city of Mosul with the help of Iraqi forces this spring.
But there are concerns that the Iraqi forces are not
ready to do the necessary ground attack. (BBC)
