Branch of al-Qaeda in Yemen said, one of the highest
commander, Harith al-Nadhari, was killed in a US air strike in the southern
part of the country.
Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in a statement
posted on Twitter said, Nadhari and three other militants were killed when the
vehicle is traveling last week in Shabwa province, southern Yemen.
Air strikes on January 31, it was the second in recent
days. America is known as the only country that operate drones in Yemen.
Nadhari is legal and religious affairs adviser AQAP. He
was last seen in a video praising deadly attacks last month against the
satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in France which resulted in 12 people dead.
The militant group has claimed responsibility for the
attack in Paris and vowed to carry out similar attacks in the future. (VOA)
